Experience working with adult learners or relevant education background
Experience with Maine College Transitions with a local service provider
In support of the overall Maine College Transitions (MCT) program, the MCT Coordinator coordinates and provides support services to local MCT service providers.
Serve as a liaison between the State Office and MCT practitioners, including site visits, assessing professional development needs, identifying marketing strategies, etc.
Outreach to grant partners, adult education, higher education institutions, etc. to present information and materials for student recruitment, dual enrollments and articulation agreements
Develop and implement strategies which publicize and target this student population
Oversee and facilitate grant applications, the grant renewal process, and distribution of funds
Collaborate with State Office Professional Development Coordinator on planning and executing professional development programs specific to MCT
Establish and maintain effective communication and advising relationships with local service providers
Serve as an advocate for MCT
Gather, analyze and interpret data, with assistance from the State Data Coordinator, which monitors grant expectations, enrollments, professional development needs, etc.
