Online Study Circle for ESOL Instructors Begins in January

Register today for Learner-Centered Practice in Adult ESL (SC21)!

Join ELL-U faculty member Dr. Kimberly Johnson as she facilitates this online study circle to explore various ways to implement learner-centered practices in your teaching. Conduct needs assessments, draw upon students’ stories, and share ways to engage learners in meaningful and authentic language tasks and projects. Grapple with common dilemmas that arise in classrooms around this issue and choose an area related to the topic to explore in your practice.

The study circle will be held in a series of three online sessions on January 25, February 8, and February 22, 2013 from 1:00 – 2:30 PM EST. Space is limited so register now to secure your place! To register, simply log in to using your username and password and then visit the Study Circles page in the Academics section. Click on the “Register Now” button underneath the SC21 description.
